Barnet loanee Ben Tomlinson scored his first goal of the season on Saturday as Barrow AFC beat a Boreham Wood side which included four former Bees 2-0.

The summer signing from Lincoln City had failed to net in earlier loan stints at Grimsby Town and Tranmere Rovers.

However, at the 24th attempt and for his fourth different club this season Tomlinson finally got off the mark at Meadow Park on Saturday.

He struck after 13 minutes before Andy Cook added a second on the stroke of half time for the Bluebirds.

Charlie Kennedy came on as a substitute for Hayes & Yeading United in National League South but couldn't prevent their 2-0 loss at Easbourne Borough.

The centre-back was introduced from the bench in the 64th minute and played in central midfield. Winger Justin Nwogu was an unused substitute.

Harry Taylor and Ryan Gondoh were both involved as Staines Town beat Merstham 2-0 in the Isthmian Premier Division.

Taylor started in midfield as a brace from Daniel Brown sealed the win for the Swans. Striker Gondoh came on in the second half.

Former Bees Ahmed Abdulla and Joe O'Cearuill were involved for Staines.

In the Southern League Premier Division centre-back Joe Gater played 90 minutes as Chesham United beat Bedworth United 4-2.

Kelvin Bossman opened the scoring after 11 minutes for the Generals before Ryan Blake added a second just before the half-hour mark.

However, an own goal from Bossman in first-half stoppage time reduced the hosts' lead. Jonathan Gould then levelled in the 62nd minute for the visitors.

Blake got his second with 19 minutes remaining to restore Chesham's lead. Dave Pearce completed the scoring from the penalty spot in the 90th minute.
