Barnet have confirmed that captain Mark Hughes and midfielder Sam Deering have both left the club.

New Bees boss Mark Robson told the Times Series last week that Hughes was expected the leave Underhill, but added he would be talking to Deering about his future.

The duo played important roles in the Bees League Two survival last season, with Hughes scoring the winning goal in Barnet’s vital 2-1 final day victory over Burton Albion.
