Eighteen played at the monthly Hendon Chess Club blitz tournament last night, Thursday 3rd January.

The first event of the year, it was a good sign to see some new faces taking part - including a few potential club members!

Thanks to Malcolm Gesthuysen for controlling the event effciently.

18 played last night: Martin Walker won the tournament with a magnificent 6 points from 6 games (who won £20), Richard Cannon 5 (£10), David Iwi, Jonathan Hoffman 4 (£5 shared for the best score by a member of Hendon Chess Club), Sean McCabe, David Ben-Nathan, Graeme Lennard, Neil McQuillan 3., Jonathan Landau, Salvatore Pepe, Ray Pliskin 3 Frank Sabin, Faye Ainscow, Chris Jones 2,5 Edwin Lande, Mohsin Latif 2 and last but not least Toni Hulstrom 1 point.
