Hendon suffer heavy loss against Old Millhillians

A disappointing performance from Hendon allowed Old Millhillians to complete a comprehensive 81-0 away win in Herts Middlesex League One.

From the kick off, Hendon’s pack looked stronger with constant moves up the pitch to the opposition 22.

Hendon fought to penetrate the home side’s try line until a mistake gifted the ball to Millhillians. It proved costly as they broke up the pitch to score a converted try.

The hosts went over for a second time soon after but Hendon didn’t panic, with fly-half Lee Linale and Tony Connor, at four, punching through the middle.

However, when Millhillians went over for the third time on 25 minutes, the floodgates opened and they scored a further five tries before the interval.

There was no let up in the second period as Millhillians continued to add to their advantage. They ran in another six tries to complete the resounding victory.

Hendon will hope to put the defeat behind them when they face London Welsh Amateurs at home on Saturday.
