Potters Bar Town are searching for a new manager after Adam Lee resigned from his position
12:00pm Friday 1st November 2013 in Sport
Potters Bar Town chairman Peter Waller says he is extremely disappointed after manager Adam Lee resigned from his position.
Lee joined the club in December 2008 and has helped establish Bar in the Calor Southern League Division One Central.
Lee advised Waller that he would be resigning from his position in order to spend more time watching his son Callum.
The Bar chairman said: “It is extremely disappointing to see Adam go, but the day was always going to come. He has established us as a step four side and each season we have improved, finishing above clubs much more fancied than ourselves.
“He has also stayed true to his principal of playing football, whatever the situation and we have seen the side play some wonderful football and received plaudits from other clubs for the way we play.
“We have not been able to maintain it over a season and other clubs will always come in to poach your better players.
“Adam will always be welcome at the club as he has been one of our best and much respected managers.”
First-team coach Jack Friend will assume responsibility for the first team while the club make a decision on Lee’s successor.
Those interested in applying for the position should contact Waller with a CV via email@example.com or call 07930 894924.
