Edgar Davids has played down reports linking him with a coaching role at AC Milan alongside former teammate Clarence Seedorf.

The Dutchman departed as Barnet’ head coach on Saturday after resigning by mutual agreement.

While the Bees were beaten 2-1 by Chester on Saturday, Davids was in Italy watching former side Juventus and the 40-year-old was then spotted at Milan’s 1-0 success against Verona yesterday.

While Daivds didn't rule out joining the Rossoneri coaching staff in the future, he said "for now, I'm ok".

He told Mediaset Premium: “Yesterday I was in Turin to see Juventus and I am here today to see AC Milan because I really like football,"

“Clarence made the right choice and I’m sure he will do very well because there are good coaches around him, he knows the environment and he really wants to do this.”
