Finchley ABC’s Eunnis Chaima clinched the 2014 Under-64kg London Youth ABA Championship on Saturday after he defeated Repton ABC’s Jordan Flynn.

By boxing as a counter puncher in the opening round, Chaima allowed Flynn to build up a lead as the Finchley fighter was beaten to the punch by his opponent’s fast hands.

Chaima changed from counter punching in the second and began to lead which brought him far more success. In the last round Chaima attacked Flynn right up to the final bell and deservedly won the contest.

Finchley’s Mason Smith boxed in a heat in the Youth Championships Under 56kg against Old Hooks ABC’s Harry Colloney.

Despite being made to work all the way against his bustling opponent, Smith took the decision on points.

In his London semi-final on Saturday, Smith boxed Connor Mitchell of Bromley & Downham ABC but was disqualified for arguing with the referee after hitting on the break.
