Barnet joint head coach Ulrich Landvreugd says new loan signing Charlie Adams is a clever player who "sees and discovers things on the pitch".

The Bees completed the signing of the 19-year-old yesterday and he will stay at The Hive until the end of the season.

The young midfielder has already impressed Landvreugd, who says he is pleased the club were able to bring Adams to The Hive.

He added: “He had his first session with us today (Tuesday). He is a clever player and reads the game very well.

“He sees and discovers things on the pitch and he achieves what he sees. He can play as a central midfielder but also on the left.

“With Luke Gambin struggling with his knee it is important for the balance of the team to have a left-footed player in the side.”

Landvreugd revealed last week that Barnet were hoping to bring an experienced centre-back in on loan but said on Tuesday he doesn’t expect a deal to be completed before this weekend’s game against Tamworth.
