Table tennis hot-shots from the London Academy took top honours in four categories at the Jack Petchey Foundation north London regional finals.
Kidi Martin Paulo, 12, won the Under-13 boys’ event, Gabriel Achampong, 16, clinched victory in the Under-19 boys’ competition, Hiba Fered, 14, took top spot in the Under-16 girls’ category and Omar Khassal was victorious in the Under-16 boys’ final.
Achampong overcame teammate Eren Gozcu in the final of his competition and said: “This is a great competition because you get to play against other schools across London. I can’t wait for the final and it will help me to get selected again to play for England.”
Gozcu added: “The rivalry between us all is good and this event helps because it’s competitive. We all want to win.”
