London Bees claimed an impressive 3-3 draw against Women’s Super League One side Bristol Academy at the Hive.

The friendly match was organised to help prepare the Bees for their FA Cup fourth round tie against Cardiff City on Sunday.

Bristol made a bright start and struck three goals in quick succession. However, the Bees fought back and neat one-touch passing led to Emily Clements breaking through and confidently finishing.

The hosts then grabbed a second goal as Sydney Hinchcliffe won back possession and curled her shot into the corner.

London Bees started the second period with the same tempo that they had finished the first. A number of chances were created and they equalised as Anneka Nuttall fired home for her second goal in two games.

The remainder of the half was closely contested as both sides searched for a winner. However, the two defences performed well and the match ended level.
