Potters Bar ski racer Robert Poth has been re-selected to the 2014/15 Great Britain Delancey Under-18 Alpine Ski squad – the fifth consecutive year he has been picked.

However, as an Under-18 winter athlete with a British Olympic Silver Passport there is no training and race support from the British Ski and Snowboard Association available to the 16-year-old.

Poth, pictured, trains privately with AKTIV Ski Racing Academy and INSPIRE from Perisher, Australia on the European Development and Excellence Programme for Alpine Skiing, under the tutelage of Richard Breese and Stephen Edwards.

Coach Edwards said: “This year was the first year Robert was able to compete on the world stage of FIS racing and due to his outstanding results and his points achieved, he is placed as the best British male at his age in the discipline of slalom.”

The teenager is aiming to be selected to represent Team GB at the 2015 European Winter Youth Olympic Games in Austria and Lichtenstein.

He is currently looking for assistance in the form of financial support. Donations can be received through a SKIERS TRUST of Great Britain bespoke fund set up in his name.
