Half-back Oscar Thomas has re-joined the London Broncos on an 18-month contract after leaving to join London Irish last year.

The 20-year-old returns to The Hive after leaving the club to try his hand at union last year, joining Premiership side London Irish.

Thomas returns to North London on a deal until the end of the 2015 season and told the club's website: "It's great to be back and I'd like to thank Joey for the opportunity.

"I'll continue to train hard with the squad and hopefully we'll see the results soon."

Signed to the club's academy at the age of 12, Thomas had played for West London Sharks before joining the Broncos.

Having broken into the Broncos Under-20 side in 2011, Thomas trained with the first team during 2012 and 2013, whilst gaining invaluable experience on loan at London Skolars.

Reflecting on his latest capture, head coach Joe Grima said: "Oscar was brought to my attention recently and after an initial meeting I was keen to offer him the opportunity to train with the first team.

"He's been training with us for a few weeks and has been very impressive. He has the potential to be a very exciting player for us."
