Martin Allen has promised changes to his starting XI for Tuesday’s trip to Macclesfield Town, as Barnet put their unbeaten away record on the line against the unbeaten-at-home Silkmen.

Barnet are unbeaten in seven away from home – winning five and drawing two – whilst Macclesfield have picked up three wins and four draws from their seven home games.

The Bees head coach was able to welcome back Mauro Vilhete, Luke Gambin and Lee Cook for Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Eastleigh, whilst Luisma Villa and Jack Saville were amongst the substitutes.

Sam Togwell dropped to the bench, whilst Charlie MacDonald (knee) and Keanu Marsh-Brown (thigh) both missed out once more.

Speaking after Saturday’s win against the Spitfires, Allen confirmed he would be making tweaks to his side for the midweek trip to Moss Rose.

He said: “(Adam) Mekki has been brilliant in training, so it is unfortunate – for him – that he hasn’t played.

“Alfie (Pavey) has been superb in training and we have rested a couple of others for Tuesday night, so it is a fine line and we have got a lot of good attacking players here at the moment.”

For Macclesfield, boss John Askey will be without midfielder Danny Whitaker, who has is suffering from a compressed disc in his back.

Right-back Andy Halls is suspended after collecting his fifth booking of the season in the 2-2 draw with Forest Green Rovers on Saturday. Dan Cowan should deputise.

In midfield, captain Paul Turnbull is doubtful due to a back issue, and could miss out once more after being rested against the Green at the weekend. Paul Lewis is the likely stand-in for the former Stockport County midfielder.

The Bees have won just two of their last 12 against the Silkmen, with their last away win coming in September 2006.

Ian Hendon, Barry Cogan and Nicky Bailey scored the goals as Barnet came from 2-1 down to win 3-2 at Moss Rose.
