Barnet could be without goalkeeper Graham Stack once more for Saturday's visit from third-placed Macclesfield Town.

The Bees' player-coach missed Tuesday's 2-1 loss at Bristol Rovers with a back problem and head coach Martin Allen refused to put a timeframe when he addressed the media afterwards.

As a result, new loan signing Raphael Spiegel could be in line for his home debut after being sprung into action at The Memorial Stadium in midweek.

The 21-year-old Swiss youth cap was signed at short notice after Stack reported for training unfit for selection.

Defender Sam Muggleton is still sidelined and Allen confirmed the former Gillingham full-back has yet to return to training as he recovers from a shin fracture.

With the first suspension cut-off point on Sunday, John Akinde, David Stephens and Bondz N’Gala are all on four bookings. If any of the trio were to receive a fifth caution of the season on Saturday, they would serve a one-match ban.

Assuming they come through unscathed, their previous yellow cards will be wiped from the record, with the next cut-off point at the beginning of April.

Macclesfield arrive at The Hive on an upwards trajectory having risen to third in the Conference standings.

The Silkmen beat Torquay United 1-0 in midweek, a result which leaves them seven points behind the Bees, albeit with the benefit of a game in hand.

A sequence of five wins from their last nine has seen John Askey's side mount an improbable promotion push.

The Bees’ recent record against the Silkmen shows little reason for encouragement, with Macclesfield having won seven and lost just two of the last 13 meetings between the two sides.

Askey’s side were the first side to beat Barnet on their travels this season when they won 2-1 at Moss Rose in October.

Goals from Scott Barrow and Chris Holroyd put the hosts 2-0 up before John Akinde struck with 12 minutes remaining.

There will be a minute’s applause in the 32nd minute in memory of Barnet fan Gareth Needham, affectionately known as ‘Donny Gaz’, who sadly passed away at the age of 32 last Tuesday.
