Barnet Elizabethans continued their excellent start to 2015 by picking up their second successive win, beating Feltham 18-12 in the Herts-Middlesex League One on Saturday.

It was a confident start from the Elizabethans, who went in front after 30 seconds when Glyn Bayley hacked on a loose ball and won the race to the try line.

A second score followed in the 15th minute when James Oram was driven over by his pack of forwards following a line-out.

Hosts Feltham did reduce the deficit by scoring a converted try whilst Ricky Stevens was in the sin bin.

However, Bayley then kicked a penalty to put the Elizabethans 13-7 ahead and Stevens atoned for his ill discipline when he scored a pushover try before the break.

Despite seeing more of the ball in the second period, the Elizabethans were unable to add to their total, whilst Feltham scored a second try to no avail.

The Elizabethans' next figure is at home to Old Millhillians on January 31.

Hendon have qualified for the second phase of the Herts-Middlesex League Two season after romping to a 41-9 win at Uxbridge.

Two early penalties saw Hendon fall 6-0 behind before a try from Mike Evans Jones was converted by Cian Hynes, turning the game on its head.

Hynes then kicked two penalties to put the visitors 13-6 up before Uxbridge hit back with another successful kick.

However, on the stroke of half time Ger O'Donoghue touched down in the corner and Hynes converted once more for a 20-9 advantage at the break.

O'Donoghue and Hynes repeated the trick in the second half to make it 27-9 and a converted try for Hynes extended that lead further still.

Replacement Buzz Nunez ran in a fifth try to round off a stylish win.

Hendon play their final first-phase match against runaway-leaders Hillingdon on January 31.
