London Broncos boss Andrew Henderson felt his side's 30-4 win over Doncaster on Sunday capped off a fantastic week.

The victory, in which Ben Hellewell grabbed a hat-trick, sealed the Broncos' third win in as many games to put them level on points with fourth-placed Halifax.

And Henderson praised his squad after a terrific second-half performance that gave bottom-of-the-league Doncaster no chance.

“We let ourselves down in the first half but were a totally different team second half,” he told the club website.

“We grinded down the opposition, finished the game strongly and won comfortably in the end.”

London now have six games remaining and their latest three victories have left them in with a shout of finishing in the Championship’s top four.

“It’s been a fantastic week,” Henderson continued. “To come away with three wins in seven days is a huge effort. We have only got a small squad, let’s not kid ourselves.

“We don’t have a lot of strength in depth and the majority of the 17 played in all three games, so it’s a huge effort and I’m really, really proud of the players.

“We’ve got a few days to freshen up and recover and recuperate and we have got to make a big push with six games to go. Hopefully we’ve put ourselves in a position to finish in the top four.”
