Barnsley boss Lee Johnson says any potential deal for Barnet defender Andy Yiadom is dead after seeing two bids for the full-back rejected.

The Tykes made two offers for the 23-year-old England C cap earlier in the summer but Barnet confirmed to the Times Series on Wednesday both had been rebuffed.

And when asked by BBC Radio Sheffield whether or not the League One side would return with a third offer for the former Watford, Hayes & Yeading and Braintree Town defender, Johnson was quick to quash suggestions of a third bid.

He said: "I think at the moment that one is dead.

"That is one that had been tracked before my time and I was made aware and had a look - and he is a good player - but again, he is a Barnet player and not one really for me to comment on."
