Edgware Town are 11 points clear atop Spartan South Midlands Division One after a 1-0 win at previously unbeaten at home Risborough Rangers on Saturday.
Rangers, who were 15 games unbeaten prior to defeat last week, could not prevent the Wares extending their lead at the summit.
However, second-placed Crawley Green do boast four games in hand on Michael Roche and Fabio Valenti's side.
The goal arrived when Nick Turner's cross was met by the head of Jay Molloy who directed beyond the Risborough keeper.
Edgware go to Woodford Town on Tuesday in the Division One Cup semi-final before visiting Harpenden Town on Saturday.
