Doubt has been cast over Shaun Batt's future at Barnet after the forward was made available for loan by the Bees, though the Football League's emergency loan window closes tomorrow.

Batt joined Barnet from Leyton Orient on a two-year deal last summer but has struggled for fitness since.

He has been restricted to just four starts in League Two this season with the bulk of his appearances coming from the substitutes' bench.

The former Peterborough United forward was forced to wait until November for his first league start, which came at Notts County in a 4-2 defeat, and has completed 90 minutes just once.

Against AFC Wimbledon in February Batt was injured after coming on as a substitute. He was unavailable again until the draw at York City a fortnight ago and has made two substitute appearances since his return.

However, he could end the season out on loan after being made available for a temporary move away from The Hive.
