Martin Allen says Barnet will take nothing for granted when they take on managerless Leyton Orient at the Hive tomorrow.

The O’s have experienced a turbulent week after Andy Hessethaller was relieved of his responsibilities as manager on Monday.

Andy Edwards has since taken over in a caretaker capacity and oversaw a 2-0 defeat to Plymouth Argyle, which Orient ended with nine men on the pitch, on Tuesday.

Allen insists the issues at the Matchroom stadium will have no bearing on tomorrow’s match and wants to focus on his side rather than the opponents.

“What they do and how they play [does not worry us’” he told the Barnet website.

“As always we prepare ourselves and put out our best team to go up against the opposition, however they may play, and focus on putting in a good performance ourselves.

“That has always been the key since I have been here: perform well ourselves, do us proud, give everything you have got and what will be will be.”

After suffering a 5-1 humbling at the hands of Portsmouth on Saturday, the Bees produced an improved display as John Akinde scored twice in a 2-2 draw against Morecambe in mid-week.

Allen praised the atmosphere inside the Hive on Tuesday night and believes similar input tomorrow will help Barnet perform well again.

He said: “Whatever happens I want that same level of performance [as we had against Morecambe]. The atmosphere I thought the other night, it wasn’t a big crowd, but I thought it was really energetic.

“They gave a great response to the players at the end of the game and more of the same will get more happy days here.”

Victory would see Barnet leapfrog Orient in the table and potentially move into the top half, dependent on results elsewhere.
