Martin Allen’s side struggled to match the visitors in the second half and went behind to Lee Holmes’ 50th minute effort.
Barnet’s woes increased six minutes later as David Wheeler followed up from Jamie Stephens’ fumble to prod home.
Exeter completed the scoring with nine minutes to play after Mauro Vilhete’s trip on Taylor allowed Reuben Reid to score from the penalty spot.
