Wingate and Finchley and Wealdstone will go head-to-head for the second time in three days tonight after late drama earned the Blues a 2-2 draw at Grosvenor Vale on Saturday in the FA Trophy first round.
A late Steve Wales penalty, four minutes from time, ensured it was honours even in the local derby after the Blues had taken a first-half lead through Rob Laney's header.
After Elliot Benyon levelled up for the hosts from the penalty spot, Laney went from hero to zero when he nodded in a second - only this time, into his own net - with 10 minutes to go.
But Wingate's determination shone through and four minutes from time, when Laney was fouled by Ciaron Brown in the Wealdstone box, and up stepped Wales to force a replay.
The winner of tonight's game, kicking off at the Harry Abrahams Stadium at 7.45pm, will go forward to travel to Southport in round two.
