Barnet have moved quickly in the January transfer window with the addition of four players to the squad of caretaker management team Rossi Eames and Henry Newman.

The Bees have added Peterborough defender Ricardo Santos, Simeon Akinola from Braintree, Dan Sweeney from Maidstone and David Tutonda to their ranks since the window opened on Sunday, spending more than £140,000 in the process.

Speaking to the club's website, Eames said: "We're very pleased we've been able to identify targets and the chairman has been able to go out and get them.

"Our contacts, knowledge of the leagues and experience with players got us these signings, as well as significant backing from the chairman."

Of the quartet, Santos is a centre-back who accumulated more than 60 League One appearances for the Posh, while left-back Tutonda left Wales without a Cardiff appearance to his name.

The 21-year-old did make 24 appearances in League Two across the past two seasons however, turning out for Newport County and York City in two seperate loans spells.

Braintree's Akinola, a £40,000 capture from Braintree, scored 19 times in 100 appearances for the non-league club, and is a left-sided midfielder who can also play up front.

Sweeney, a former England C international, is a central midfielder who made 25 appearances for Maidstone before his move.
