Barnet came from behind to see off Harrow Borough 4-2 at Earlsmead.
Manager Paul Fairclough played a strong team and the Bees ran out worthy winners, with new signing Luke Medley hitting a brace.
Barnet should have taken the lead in the early minutes, Adam Birchall missing a penalty.
And Harrow made their visitors pay with a goal midway through the half.
But Fairclough will have been delighted by the response, the Bees scoring three times in reply before the half was up.
Kieron St Aimie, Neal Bishop and Medley all weighed in with goals.
Barnet, who were captained by ex-Harrow star Albert Adomah, were in full control after the interval.
Medley added a fourth late on, before the hosts grabbed an even later consolation.
