Kentish Town FC have played pre-season friendlies as they gear up to set out upon the road to Wembley in the FA Cup.
Town lost 2-1 to Ipswich Wanderers but produced a spirited display which pleased caretaker boss Ben Schiffer-Harte.
He said: “In the end I was pleased with the overall performance and know that certain players raised their standards.”
However, he added that he wants to see more effort from others.
Town’s rare lapses in the match were punished by hosts Wanderers.
They scored twice and restricted Town to a late consolation.
Gary Silvera was fouled in the box and then coolly dispatched the resulting penalty.
Meanwhile, Town have been drawn against newly Hillingdon Borough in the FA Cup extra preliminary round.
