The first Hertfordshire 2* Junior Banded & Open Tournament to be run by the Hertfordshire Table Tennis Association was staged at Barnet Table Tennis Centre.

The event drew high-level players from across the region and beyond.

There was local success too, with Barnet's very own Pritesh Kakad reaching the final of the boys' open junior tournament.

Pritesh saw off Josh Jenkins in the semi-final, but could not repeat the feat when he faced Liam Mctiernan.

Herts coach Nelson D’Lima was the driving force behind the event.
