Potters Bar ski racers Daniel and Robert Poth grabbed two podium finishes at the 2010 British Indoor Ski Racing Championships at Castleford Xscape Indoor Snow centre.
Both boys are this season competing head to head in the same U15 age category, with younger sibling Robert, 13, in his first season of the older age group.
The British Championships format was two runs on different courses, both of which have to be completed for the overall result. In the U15 age category 41 competitors took part in the Championship race, including two French racers from the Chamonix ski race club.
Buff-sponsored athlete Robert, on tremendous form against the older racers including his sibling, kept his nerve and skied to an impressive overall 25.00 secs, winning the gold, with older brother Daniel just slotting in behind with 25.28 secs, securing the silver.
Next up for the boys will be the European Indoor Championships in September.
Meanwhile, Daniel and Robert have recently been selected for the Hertfordshire Talented Athlete Programme for 2010-11. This programme will offer invaluable support to the boys, giving them access tofacilities and expertise the partnership has to offer.
The ski brothers are still hoping to secure sponsorship for their forthcoming winter alpine ski training and racing season. Further details can be found on www.robertpoth.co.uk and www.danielpoth.co.uk
