Barnet have completed the signing of former West Ham United midfielder Oliver Lee.

Lee becomes the Bees third signing of the summer and the third to have played for the Hammers.

The 20-year-old, son of former England international Rob Lee, enjoyed loan spells in League Two last season with Dagenham & Redbridge and Gillingham.

Barnet head coach Mark Robson told the club’s website: "I'm very pleased to welcome Olly to Barnet. He's a very good footballer who is comfortable on the ball and has a wide range of passing at his disposal.

"He's also got bags full of energy - he's up and down the pitch all the time! I believe he'll fit into our system here perfectly. I'm delighted to have him."

Lee made 24 appearances last term while at the Gills and Daggers, scoring three times.

The midfielder believes his education at West Ham will help him settle into the style of football Robson hopes to implement. “At West Ham they teach you how to play football properly - passing, movement, other areas that help you become a better all-round footballer,” he told the club website.

“Obviously, with the club's style of football they are looking to introduce here, growing up at West Ham will definitely help that and help me fit into Barnet's style."
