Barnet have completed the signing of former Reading midfielder John Oster and his first aim is to help the the Bees get back to winning ways.
The 33-year-old has joined on a free transfer following his release from Doncaster Rovers earlier in the summer.
Oster could make his debut for the Bees in tomorrow's match against Gillingham.
Mark Robson told the Barnet website: “I'm delighted to have signed a player of John’s quality and his much needed experience. Having played in the Premiership and Championship including last season for Doncaster Rovers this is a major coup for Barnet."
Oster brings some much needed experince to a young Barnet side and he spoke of his delight after joining the club.
“I’m just delighted that I’ve signed here. I’m raring to go. I just want to play football and Barnet showed great interest in me. I spoke to Mark Robson and he wants to do things the right way by playing good football and he feels the results will come," he explined to the Bees website.
“At 33, I’ve played a good amount of games – about 150 in the last 4 years – quite a lot for someone of my age.
“I want to do well personally but the main thing is the team and that comes before everything else. First and foremost we need to some results and get some points on the board.”
Bees boss Robson confirmed after thedefeat to Rochdale last week that he was planning to reinforce his squad and admitted the club had missed out on completing a deal for a striker.
