    Barnet release Graz and Sagi
    Giuliano Grazioli
    Giuliano Grazioli

Barnet striker Giuliano Grazioli and defender Sagi Burton have been released.

Grazioli has only played a handful of games this season and his departure was much expected.

Burton only arrived at Underhill in the summer and made 32 appearances, scoring one goal.

Crowd favourite Grazioli will forever be remembered for firing the Bees into the Football League three seasons ago.

He scored 29 goals, earning him the Golden Boot and the Conference Player of the Year award.

Sadly, he has only notched ten goals in the past three seasons, and only made a handful of appearances this time.

He came on as a sub against Stockport County in Barnet's final home game, the fans quick to show their appreciation for one of the most popular players to have donned the black and amber shirt.

Seeing as Sagi only came in at the start of the season and played in so many games, I have to say I'm a little surprised by his departure.
I've not seen many of his performances since Xmas, but if he has got over 30 games I can't imagine he has been useless. Sure, he's no better than League Two standard, but we are a League Two team. He is solid enough.
    Strange decision.
As for Graz - everyone will be sorry to see him go, I just hope he is successful wherever he is next. Thanks for the memories.

Sad to see Graz go but it was inevitable; he was a true hero for us but might have been jettisoned earlier by some other teams as he's produced very little since 2004/5.

Burton is no real surprise; he was injured a fair bit and fairly slow. Although he was experienced his wages were probably higher than many of Fairclough's non-league acquisitions and the club probably think they can get better value elsewhere.
