Yorkshire Ambulance Service staff head to Olympics (From Times Series)

  But they can not do it with out the rest of the country putting in resources
  
  I only hope they get well paid for it and not a G4S type pay deal for them where they lose money
  
  I sat down the other day and worked out how much G4S would of made of of there contract if they had got all the 10400 staff for the games they would of made 200 million pounds profit after that staff wages and training
  
  G4S chief executive Nick Buckles told the Home Affairs Select committee this week that his company were paying £9.50 per hour if the staff turn up every day required
  
  The Chief Executive of G4S has said the company £284m contract to supply security staff to the London Olympics
  
  20 days X 24 hours = 480 hours
  
  cost of wages 480 hours X £9.50 X 10400 = £47424000
  
  cost of training £265 X 10400 =£2756000
  
  Total cost training and wages £47424000 + £2756000 = £50180000
  
  total left £233820000
  you could write off £333820000 for management and putting people up"
