THE origins of the Olympic Games will be explored at a special event in Bedern Hall, York, with a series of activities based on the mediaeval history of the venue.

The Medieval Olympics events will run between July 27 and August 31 at the venue, and will include a sparkling wine reception, a five-course meal of seasonal foods, music and live entertainment.

Tickets for the event cost £40, and are available from bedernhall.co.uk
