Hooker Jamie George has signed a new long-term deal with Saracens to keep him at Allianz Park.

The England international, 25, becomes the latest player to commit his long-term future to the Men in Black by signing a multi-year extension with the club.

Speaking to the club's website, George said: "I’ve loved every second I’ve spent at the club over these last six seasons, so I’m delighted to have extended my stay here.

“I really buy into what we are doing here at the club. Saracens have looked after me so well and I’m playing alongside my best mates, which means a huge amount to me.

“It’s such a special environment, and if you couple that with the brilliant coaching staff that we have here, you constantly feel like you are developing as a player and as a person every single day.

"I’m looking forward to being able to carry on with this incredible journey at Saracens.”

Director of rugby Mark McCall added: “One of the big positives over the last few seasons has been the emergence of a lot of our young talent that has been grown in-house, and Jamie has been at the forefront of that.

“We are delighted that he has committed his long-term future with the club and we are all very excited to see Jamie continue to excel for both club and country over the next few years.”

“Jamie served a long apprenticeship coming through the ranks, and his patience is beginning to bear fruit judging by his performances over the last 18 months.

"It’s great news that he is the latest player to commit his future to the club.”

George, who has been with Sarries since 2008, made his first team debut against Northampton Saints in 2009 and has made 136 appearances for the club in total.

His fine form for the Wolf Pack earned a first England call earlier this year and he was part of the Red Rose's squad for the World Cup.
