Alex Goode is one of six Saracens retained by England for Saturday’s Six Nations showdown in France.

Victory against France will see former Sarries director of rugby Eddie Jones win the Grand Slam at the first attempt – the Red Rose’s first since 2003.

They are already Six Nations champions following last weekend’s win over second-placed Wales.

Full-back Goode, who scored a try and four penalties in the Men in Black’s win over London Irish in New Jersey last weekend, is back in the squad for the clash in Paris.

Joining Goode in the 26-strong squad are locks Maro Itoje and George Kruis, number eight Billy Vunipola, prop Mako Vunipola and fly-half Owen Farrell.

Looking ahead to the game, head coach Jones told the RFU website: “We’ve got to be really right for the game, we’ve got to absolutely crush them with our intensity and that’s what we’re going to make sure we have this week in training.

“It’s nice to get a trophy but we’ve got bigger fish to fry and one of those is the Grand Slam on Saturday.”
