Barnet midfielder Mark Hughes has agreed a new one-year contract to stay at the club.
The 27-year-old, who was picked for Northern Ireland under Lawrie Sanchez in 2006, caught the eye during the Bees' great escape last season.
Hughes told the Barnet website: "I am happy to get it sorted. I was pleased when Lawrie Sanchez rang to ask me to stay and, when I agreed, he put me on to chairman Tony Kleanthous to finalise the detail of the new deal.
"Hopefully we will get a good start to the coming season and will avoid having to wait until the last day for our fate to be determined. I am confident with what is going on at the moment that we can avoid that pressure."
