THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD(WATFORD) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2018 (AMENDMENT) (NO.4) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN thatthe Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for the Hertfordshire County Council, proposes to make the above mentioned Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9ofthe Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order would be to amend the existing Traffic Regulation Orders to have the following effects in Central and West Watford:-:

1,

I. To increase the allocation of residents' visitor permits to households in Zones A, B, C, and Gand also in E(alreadyin operation),



II. To extend the hours of operation of permit parking bays within Controlled Parking Zones A, B, Cand GtoMonday to Sunday inclusive 8.00am to 10.00pm,



III. To change the hours of operation on shared use parking bays in Controlled Parking Zones A, B, and CtoMondays to Sundays 8.00am to 10.00pm.



The above changes are as aresult of requests to extend the hours of operation of the permit parking scheme in these Zones.

IV.Tointroduce local changes to existing waiting restrictions and residents' parking bays in parts of Chester Road, Cross Street, Estcourt Road, Gartlet Road, Kings Close, Loates Lane, Prince Street, Queens Road, Woodford Road and the former Access Road to Watford Springs to improve road safety, prevent obstructive parking and improve parking opportunities for residents.

V. To introduce local loading and unloading prohibitions in Duke Street, Earl Street, Loates Lane and Merton Road to prevent obstruction caused by parking near junctions and turning heads and in Gartlet Road to prevent the obstruction of afootway.
