NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on 27th August 2020 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to deter obstructive parking, and improve sightlines and road safety, the general effect of the Orders will be to introduce new ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions at the following locations below:
a) Brent Street NW4 at its junction with Danescoft.
b) Shirehall Park NW4 - Side of No.21 Shirehall Park and at the side of No.23 Shirehall Park.
c) Aldridge Avenue HA8 - Side of No.17 and No.19 Glengall Road.
d) The Ridgeway NW7 - Outside and opposite Belmont Farm.
In addition to the above the Free Order will upgrade the existing 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday waiting restrictions at the junction of Woodburn Close and Brent Street NW4 to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions. Furthermore, the existing length of 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday waiting restriction on Brent Street between the entrance to Danescroft and the northwestern kerbline of Woodburn Close will be upgrade to ‘at any time’ waiting restriction and extended by 5 metres. In order to provide a parking space for ambulances associated with the medical practice on Harley Avenue NW7, the Orders will introduce a 6 metre dedicated Ambulance parking bay outside No.2a Hartley Avenue NW7.
As a result of this proposal 6 metres of an existing resident permit holder only parking bay operating between the hours of Monday to Friday 11am to 12pm will be removed. This provision will prohibit vehicles from stopping at this location ‘at any time’ except for ambulances.
A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on Tuesday 1st September 2020 and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays (Bank Holidays and Public Holidays Excepted) for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published at:
a) Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW
b) Reception, Hendon Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London, NW4 4BG
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
