THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.136) ORDER 2021 THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.98) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on 4th March 2021 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to accommodate the introduction of 'dropped kerb' vehicle crossovers to enable access to off-street parking facilities, the general effect of the Orders will be to remove existing parking spaces and replace with yellow line waiting restrictions outside the locations as follows:

In order to compensate for the loss of parking in relation to an approved in principle 'dropped kerb' vehicle crossover to enable access to an off-street parking facility at No.4 and No.6 Russell Gardens the Orders will extend the length of an existing shared use resident permit holders, business permit holders and payment parking bay on street outside No.2 Russell Gardens NW11 by approximately 10 metres. As a result of this proposal a length of existing 11 am to 12 Noon Monday to Friday waiting restrictions situated alongside the redundant 'dropped kerb' vehicle crossover outside No.2 and No.2a Russell Gardens will be removed. In order to compensate for the loss of parking in relation to a proposal to introduce a 'dropped kerb' vehicle crossover to enable access to an off-street parking facility at No.66 The Drive NW11, the above Orders will extend the lengths of existing resident permit holder only parking bays on street at the following locations below.

As a result of the proposals mentioned above lengths of existing 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday waiting restrictions situated alongside redundant 'dropped kerb' vehicle crossovers at Beverley Gardens and Limes Avenue will be removed.
A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on Wednesday 10th March 2021 and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Order can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing

or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 6th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
