THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD (WATFORD OUTER ZONES) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for the Hertfordshire County Council, proposes to make the above mentioned Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order would be to amend The Borough of Watford (Grandfield Avenue and Bellamy Close, Watford) (Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2014, The Borough of Watford (The Larches, Watford) (Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2015 and The Borough of Watford (Coningsby Drive, Langley Way and Trefusis Walk) (Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2015 so as:-
(a) to provide regulations forthe issue, use and enforcement of:-


(i) Doctor and Health Visitor Parking Permits,

(ii) Watford Council Staff Parking Permits (essential work requirements only),

(b) to extend the maximum vehicle length to 6.0 metres and amend the business address criteria forthe issue of business parking permits,


(c) to make provision for the issue of warning notices and for the withdrawal of parking permits where apermit holder regularly obstructs adriveway not being their own,

(d) to extend free parking permit issue to cover parents caring for disabled children under 16 years who hold aBlue Badge,

(f) to allow that when arefund is made on aparking permit the Council, may at its discretion, charge an administration fee,


(g) to require the holder of residents' visitor permits to surrender the permits if they have used visitor permits contrary to the conditions of issue,

(h) to provide that new applicants for Residents' Permits must intend to be resident at premises within the Controlled Parking Zones for aminimum of 6months,

(i) to clarify the description of Langley Way.

The proposals derive from residents' requests and from the ongoing Council review of the operation of the CPZ
Scheme.
Details of the proposals are set out in the Draft Order, which together with the relevant location plan and statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined from 8.45am to 5.15pm on Monday to Thursday and 8.45 am to 4.45 pm on Friday
at the Customer Service Centre, Town Hall, Watford,
WD17 3EX. Objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to be received by me at the address below by Monday 4
