LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET THE BARNET (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO. **) TRAFFIC ORDER 20** THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 20**
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6 and 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. In order to address concerns about speeding, and to improve general road safety, the general effect of the 20mph Speed Limit Order would be to introduce a maximum speed limit of 20mph in the following roads: Bohun Grove EN4, Chestnut Grove EN4, Ridgeway Avenue EN4, Windsor Drive EN4, Eton Avenue EN4, Daneland EN4, Brookside EN4, Little Grove EN4 In order to deter obstructive parking within the vicinity of Danegrove School, the Free Order would introduce ‘At any time’ waiting restrictions at the following junctions: Bohen Grove and Eton Avenue, EN4, Eton Avenue and Little Grove, EN4, Little Grove and Brookside, EN4, Eton Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue, EN4, Ridgeway Avenue and Daneland, EN4, Ridgeway Avenue and Bohun Grove, EN4, Ridgeway Avenue and Windsor Drive, EN4 (by converting Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm waiting restriction) Ridgeway Avenue and Chestnut Grove, EN4 (by converting Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm waiting restriction) Ridgeway Avenue and Cat Hill, EN4. Certain lengths ‘At any time’ waiting restrictions would also be introduced on the bends of Chestnut Grove EN4, outside The Lodge, Chestnut Grove EN4, and around the island at the junction of Chestnut Grove and Daneland EN4. The Free Order would also introduce Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm waiting restrictions around the junction of Eton Avenue and Windsor Drive EN4 Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objections, and quoting reference BC/001143-13-03/SCR279, to the Design Team, 11th Floor, Highways, Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone, London N20 0EJ or via email to traffic.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
