How to get stainless steel cutlery to look as good as new

One of the most recent of these dilemmas involves trying to get stainless steel cutlery looking like new again. 

A member of the member of the community group shared this plea with fellow cleaning fanatics: "How can I get my stainless cutlery looking like new again. I suppose it’s due to the dishwasher but they are turning black."

Users took to the comments to help with answers ranging from white vinegar and soda to Milton and cheap vodka and gin.

Among one of the most popular answers was bi-carbonate soda - a product which can purchase at both Tesco and Aldi for 65p.

One person advised:"Soak them in hot water and bicarbonate of soda or pure alcohol."

Another commented: "Water and bicarbonate make paste and rub."
