Shappi Khorsandi
artsdepot@ The Bull
High Street, Barnet
Saturday (November 8), 8pm
Undeterred by those who say some cultures do not sit well together, comedian Shappi Khorsandi flirts with views held by both the Ayatollah Khomeini and Margaret Thatcher.
Raised in London, but born in Iran, Shappi has a sharp and charming take on life. Influenced by, but not preoccupied with, her background, she takes a light-hearted look at different cultures.
Shappi's credits include sell-out Edinburgh Festival shows, the Refugee Council's comedy benefit gig and various television and radio appearances. She also won the Peterborough Comedian of the Year award and reached the finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards.
Tickets are £8, with £6 concessions, from the box office on 020 8449 0048.
