Budding young journalists making their own school newspaper were given a few handy tips by Times Series chief reporter Chris Hewett this morning.
Year 7 students at Copthall Girls’ School, in Pursley Road, will spend the next six weeks putting together their own publication as part of an Opening Minds project.
Reporter Chris spoke to students about his work at the Times Series and gave the 11-year-olds a few tips and tricks of the trade this morning.
Opening Minds co-ordinator at the school, Pegah Abbasnejad, is organising the project, in which pupils will be teamed up to create a page of the newspaper each.
The best work will be published in the Times Series newspaper at the end of the activity.
