The British Heart Foundation has made an urgent appeal for donations of furniture and electrical goods as it prepares to open a new store in Finchley later this month.

The new BHF Furniture & Electrical Store will open its doors in High Road at 10am on Tuesday April 30.

The store will raise money for BHF which supports people with heart disease and carries out research.

Mira Palmer, area manager said: “With the support of the Finchley community, we are hoping to make this new BHF Furniture & Electrical Store a huge success.

"We need to fill the store with donated goods before we open so we are urging people if they are having a clear out to book a free collection with us – it’s an easy way to support the nation’s heart charity.”

The Finchley store will be stocked with a variety of household goods including suites, sofas, chairs, dining sets, beds and wardrobes as well as electrical items such as televisions, washing machines, fridges and dishwashers.
