Police are offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information about the killing of an Edgware man, two years after he was stabbed to death.

Adeniyi Lateef Shode of Whitchurch Avenue was found collapsed at the junction of Rowdell Road, Ealing Road and Kensington Road on May 2 2011.

The 21-year-old, who was also known as Ade, was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he died from his wounds.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Andy Manning said: "Ade Shode was a young man who was murdered in the prime of his life. Two years on we continue to investigate his murder and appeal for fresh information.

“We still strongly believe that Ade knew his attacker and that he was murdered due to a previous disagreement between him and the killer.

"I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this senseless killing to come forward and give information to police. It may be that as time has passed someone may now feel able to help police bring someone to justice.

"A reward of up to £20,000 is still available for any information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the persons responsible for Ade's murder."

Mr Shode's mother Antonia Frances said: "All our family thinks about Ade every day. We remember his laugh and smile and he always remains in our thoughts.

"It still hurts us to think that whoever killed Ade is still out there and we pray that it doesn't happen to anyone else's family."

“After two years I’d ask anyone who may be able to help us to speak to the police. If you are not happy talking to the police then please tell someone and get them to pass the information on. What is important is that the police can track down whoever took my son from us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Incident Room at Hendon on 020 8358 0300; if you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

On May 6, 2011 a 20-year-old man and two women aged 22 and 18 were arrested in Berkshire in connection with the murder.

On May 9, 2011 a 19-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the murder.

They have been bailed to return in September pending further enquiries.
