A hospital will host a national conference to discuss the treatment of eating disorders.
The Phoenix Wing, in St Ann’s Hospital, Haringey, will bring professionals together to focus on current challenges and experiences in the treatment of eating disorders.
Hosted by the Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust, the event will focus on patient experience and involvement.
The trust is a national provider of specialist eating disorder inpatient treatment, providing treatment to people all across England.
Speaking ahead of the conference, trust chief executive Maria Kane said: “The Phoenix Wing provides a superb standard of care to its patients and I am delighted that they are taking this opportunity to share their expertise with others.
“I hope that by bringing together professionals and patients from across the country this event will also be an opportunity to hear about the great work being done elsewhere to improve the treatment of eating disorders.”
The conference will take place at London’s Business Design Centre in Islington, and registration is now open.
