Olympic torchbearer Tyler Rix will be switching on the Christmas lights in North Finchley on Saturday.
The musician and model, from Woodside Park, will throw the switch to bring in the festive season at about 4pm near Tally Ho Corner.
The former pupil at Frith Manor School and Dame Alice Owen's School, in Potters Bar, has received many accolades for his footballing, musical and modelling talents.
On switching on the lights, the 20-year-old said: “It’s going to be wicked. It will be really nice as it is local to me so I’m looking forward to it.”
