Hertsmere Borough Council is cutting the opening hours of its offices to save money.
From March 31, the Civic Offices in Elstree Way in Borehamwood will open from Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.15pm, and on Friday from 9am to 5pm, instead of opening at 8.30am as before.
Bushey Area Office in the Bushey Centre in the High Street will open on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 2pm as opposed to the current three-day opening.
The Potters Bar area office in the Wyllyotts Centre in Darkes Lane will open on Thursdays from 9.30am to 2pm, cutting two of its opening days.
The changes are a result of the council's ‘participatory budgeting’ exercise, in which it asked 400 residents where they thought it could save money.
