Poetry lovers rejoiced at a writing competition to mark their club’s landmark 21st anniversary.
Children and adults flocked to the Barnet Open Poetry Competition, in Bull Theatre, High Street, Barnet last Friday.
The event began at 10am when seven to 16-year-olds submitted their poems, followed by the adults section in the afternoon.
Poets Martyn Crucefix and Katherine Gallagher read the winning entries and handed out prizes.
