An Edgware school has been chosen to help train new teachers.
Northgate School, in Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware, was named an official training centre by the National College for Teaching and Leadership.
The school, which caters for children suffering from mental health problems, is now one of 200 such centres across the country.
Headteacher Athy Demetriades said: “Gaining Teaching School Status will give us an unique opportunity to work with our alliance partners, to support other schools, trainee teachers and future leaders and so make a difference in the life chances of all young people.”
